Our Project
It's hard to go anywhere in Lincoln and not see the famous Valentino's Pizza logo. Anyone who is from Lincoln or currently attends UNL knows the famous 'Valentino's Pizza bend', as one study subject stated. As Journalism students we decided to uncover the reason for the local pizza chain's success, and what makes it so special. We did 'blind' taste test studies, interviewed Valentino's executives, and got reviews from UNL students. Additionally, we also did extensive research on the rich history of Valentino's Pizza. What we found was that while Valentino's may not be everyone's favorite pizza flavor wise, it's still seen as a staple for game days and Lincoln natives as a whole.

Avery Hemmerling - Avery is a 19-year-old sophomore double majoring in graphic design and Advertising and public relations. He is from Lincoln, NE and currently works for Target.

Lexi Augustine - Lexi is a 19-year-old Second Year CoJMC student majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Photojournalism. She is from Paxton, Nebraska and works at the UNL calling center.

Mason Petersen - Mason is a 19-year-old Second-Year CoJMC student majoring in advertising from Omaha, Nebraska. He's currently involved with Ad Club and is looking to apply for internships. His hobbies include sketching and creative design.

Riley Tolan Keig - Riley is a 20-year-old Third Year CoJMC student majoring in Journalism from Papillion, Nebraska. She works at a plant nursery and is also looking for internships. Her hobbies are writing, reading, and watching Youtube.

Yunkai Xie - Yunkai is a 21-year-old Fourth Year CoJMC student majoring in Advertising and Public Relations from Lincoln, Nebraska. She works part-time at Selleck.
