Connection to University
The business partnership between Valentino's and University of Nebraska Lincoln started in 1994 when they opened a ‘by the slice’ stand in the Memorial stadium. Five years later, Valentino's became the official caterer for UNL. Finally, in 2002 they became the official caterer and pizza business for the university. In 2016 Valentino's moved closer to college students by opening up shop in the University Union. It’s here that Valentino's has made the most impact on students. With jobs, study breaks, and the experience of a locally owned business.
What Makes Valentino's So Special?
In 1965, Valentino's was not a pizzeria. It started as a campus
fruit market. Later, it opened as a pizza business in full and
made $60 on the first day. The restaurant's reputation
continued to increase, and customers began to gather and
watch the windows of the pizza-making process. At this time it
was just a home-style meal.
In 1971, after acquiring the family's Valentino's, the company carefully crafted plans to expand elsewhere. Through controlled expansion and a complete quality control system, Valentino's has developed steadily.

In 1990, Valentino's opened its first store offering takeaway services. These stores were immediately successful. Today, there are more than 18 successful To-Go locations. Today, Valentino's has expanded to
35 restaurant locations in 4 different states. The waiting time is now rarely more than 15 minutes, but the formulation and careful preparation steps still exist. The secret to Valentino's success begins with the excellent family formula that was passed on when the company changed hands in 1971.

The brand's pursuit is the highest quality food, reasonable prices, clean and tidy and comfortable restaurants, sincere service and written company credo. These have all made Valentino's very popular.
